Project Description

Importance of Elder Care

Nadia Petrovna spent her whole life residing in the Luhansk region. As an accomplished teacher in the Donbas area, she taught biology and chemistry at the highest level. Unfortunately, she faced heartbreaking events in her life, losing her beloved husband and later having to raise her grandson alone after her son and daughter-in-law died in a car accident. Even after retiring, she continued to provide care for her grandson. Following the full-scale invasion that resulted in the occupation of her village and the destruction of her home, her grandson reached out to the “Crisis Center for the Elderly” and requested that they take in his grandmother, as he was unable to look after her. This is how Valentina Petrovna became a part of their community. Recently, she suffered from a stroke that left her unresponsive and bedridden for a few weeks, but she has since made a partial recovery and can even manage to come down for dinner on her own.

Your generous contribution will aid in providing essential care for the elderly, including access to medical attention, shelter, and nourishing meals. Your gift will make a significant impact on improving their quality of life and ensuring their basic needs are met.
