TESTIMONIES

My name is Nastya. I am from the city of Kharkiv. I ended up in this camp thanks to the war. We moved to Ternopil. My mother told me about this camp, I became interested in getting to know other people because I didn’t have my friends around. I really liked it here, the best thing here is that this camp is about God, the unification of people, about teams, that is, that people are not all separate, but everyone is always in a team, this is very cool.

My name is Nikita. I am from Mariupol. I’m 11 years old. I really liked it here. I go to church and the news came that the camp opened and my mother enrolled me. On the first day, I had unexpected emotions of joy. I made very good friends with all the boys with whom I lived in the house. Here you are always busy with something interesting, we are always moving somewhere, doing interesting things. It’s never boring here.

My name is Arina. I am 13 years old. I came from the Luhansk region, where hostilities are taking place. We were there until March 4 and it was very difficult for me, so my parents left there. We traveled to different cities, but stopped in Ternopil, at our friends’ house. These friends advised me to go to this camp. When I first arrived in Ternopil, I had no friends, but thanks to this camp I found many good friends with whom I spend my free time.

The camp also has very tasty food. There are many different interesting classes, we have a very good team, we have very cool mentors who always help us. Thanks to the camp, I am happy that I got to Ternopil. I met God in one evening.

My name is Sophia. I’m 10 years old. I arrived from Kramatorsk on March 25. Now I live in Ternopil. My mother enrolled me in the camp and I really like it here. I like the house here, I made good friends with the girls. I really like the morning dances here, in Kramatorsk I danced in the studio and always won 1.2 place. Here we dance both morning and night, it’s my favorite part of the day.

My name is Sofia and I am from Kharkiv. I came to Ternopil specifically for this camp, so I now live in the Poltava region. I really liked the camp. Both teachers and children are creative here. It was very interesting to communicate with the girls, I learned a lot of new things, we cooked ourselves, ran a lot. There is a very cool evening program here, an arcade, everyone did a great job, it was just great. I learned about this camp from my dad, it was my first camp, I only had good impressions.

My name is Kate. I’m 12 years old. I am from Kherson. I came to Ternopil and I really like it here. My parents said they found a good camp, I immediately agreed. I did not expect that everything would be so good here, I really liked it here, I found many new friends here and very cool mentors here. I like everything here. Every morning there are dances, English lessons, delicious food, lots of fun games. It was an unforgettable week that I will never forget.

85% of the children accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The Bible says, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” -John 3:16. Our staff stays in touch with the children and we continually pray for the seed that was planted, God will grow into something extraordinary. “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” -John 14:6

This year was rather special to the children that have attending our camps. It was a time where they would not need to think about the war in their country for just a moment. Where their childhood can be, just for an instant normal. So, thank you again Samaritan’s Purse for giving the children a glimpse to be a child in this horrifying time in their lives.

Thank you Samaritan’s Purse for being part of God’s work for His Kingdom.
